Vinyl Boards

by Crystal on February 9, 2011

Hi there, remember me? I’m the one that seems to post only once a month. I promise I am going to be better at posting more often this year.

I want to show a few wood signs that I made using extra wood I had from the magnet boards I made as Christmas gifts. Since I have a vinyl cutter I figured it would be the best way to use up the extra wood. “Subway” art has been all over the internet the past few months and I wanted to create a Valentine one. I had a lot of fun finding all the different elements that relate to the day of Love.

With the other two boards I had I decided to make them into an “everyday” wall decor for your house. For the Welcome sign I cut a mask out of vinyl put that on the painted board. I then watered down cream paint and did a wash over the whole board. Once it was dry I took the mask off and was left with the awesome quartefoil design. All it needed was the Welcome to complete the look.

With the last one I took the same quote that I used on the magnet boards. I really like the quote so I thought it would be great for this board. I added the frame around the quote and put Swarovski Crystals on the design.

I put these signs for sale in the Scrapbook Barn Boutique at the store I work. If you are interested in any of them, let me know.

I love your site. I love making crafts too. I can’t find vinyl boards. Can you tell me where to look for them? I live in Gilbert, too.

Migdalia-
Thanks for the comment! I actually made those vinyl signs. I have a boutique tab on my site that I have posted some vinyl signs to purchase! I can also make something custom for you if you would like!

Love the Sunshine Home Decor sign. That is the song I would sing to my daughter when she was small and now that she is growing up I want something that I can hang in her room for to will always remember “our song”. Her room is pink with zebra bedding any ideas for tying those colors in with that sign? Do you still have these available?

Thank you in advance for your response.

Thanks – Cindy
