Hobby Lobby Find

by Crystal on July 12, 2011

A couple weeks ago I went browsing the aisles at Hobby Lobby hoping to find something fun to make.  I was in a crafting mood. As I searched the store for a while, I found myself in the clearance section. Everything was 80% off, I was sure to find something…I found this semi ugly big chunk of wood pear. I could see potential that it could look cute in my kitchen, and heck for $4 I couldn’t pass it up. When the cashier was ringing me up she looked at it confused asking what it was, lol. Right then I knew I needed to spruce it up!

To keep it easy and cheap, I went with painting it a green color (since pears are green), roughed up the edges to distress it and then added a stain. It needed more so I went to my trusty vinyl cutter and cut out that cute phrase. It helped it go from plain and boring to fun and cute (at least I think so) 😉

 Thanks for Reading!

Crystal 🙂

That is cute! I would not have seen the potential in that semi-ugly hunk of wood!
