All About Pumpkins

I hope you like Pumpkins because that’s what this post is going to be about. With Fall around the corner I have the urge  to decorate my house in all kinds of pumpkins.  I have found lots of brilliant and fun ideas on Pinterest…If you have ever browsed pinterest you will know what I mean.  I will show you a few things I have made.

The first one is going to be of the sweet kind. Have you ever had pumpkin rolls?  They are delicious!  I have made them every Halloween for 8yrs.  We have a driveway “party” at my parents house.  They are always a hit that I have to make 4 rolls of them.  Here is the recipe that I use.  You really should try and make some yourself.  http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/libbys-pumpkin-roll-with-cream-cheese-filling/detail.aspx

The second pumpkin is a book page pumpkin.  It’s very easy and very inexpensive to make.  Buy a book from the $1 store and take the cover off the book.  Draw a pumpkin shape on the first book page.  Using an exacto knife, cut through a few pages at a time while following the pattern.  When all the pages have been cut, ink or paint the edges of the pages orange.   Then work the pages in a circle and glue a stem in the center.  Glue the front and back pages together.  Here is a very cute pumpkin.

The last one I have made is a trio of pumpkins.  They are made out of a 1×2 piece of wood.  If you have access to a saw, cut the wood to the height you like.  They are as simple as painting wood, covering the sides with strips of paper and glueing a few pieces together to make a pumpkin.

That’s it for now, I will show you other pumpkins if I find time to make them

Thanks for reading!
